Who operates Showup
Showup (showup.community) is operated by Frieder Hartmann, c/o Hartmann GmbH, Burgstr. 28–56, 44867 Bochum, Germany. Questions about these terms can be sent to mail@friederhartmann.de.
What Showup is
Showup is a platform that connects people with local initiatives, projects, and societies. We provide tools for founders to list their initiative and for members to discover and join them. Showup is not a party to, organiser of, or co-host of any initiative or event listed on the platform. Each founder is solely responsible for the accuracy of their listing and the conduct of their events. Showup has no liability for what happens at any initiative or event.
Accounts
To use Showup you must be at least [TODO: age] years old. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. Each person may hold one account. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your profile and all associated data permanently.
Founder responsibilities
If you create an initiative on Showup, you are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of everything you publish — including descriptions, moment posts, and events. Content must not be misleading, false, or in breach of applicable law. As a founder you are solely responsible for your events and for the safety of attendees. Showup does not vet, endorse, or take responsibility for any initiative or event.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Showup to harass, intimidate, or harm other users; send spam or unsolicited messages; post illegal, defamatory, or deliberately misleading content; impersonate another person or organisation; or access Showup by automated means (scraping, crawling, bots) without our written permission. Violations may result in content removal or account suspension.
Content rights
You keep ownership of any content you post on Showup. By posting content you grant Showup a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform for as long as it remains on Showup. You can withdraw this licence at any time by deleting the content or your account. Showup may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law, and may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously breach them.
Availability and liability
Showup is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may change or discontinue features at any time. To the extent permitted by law, [TODO: liability limitation — e.g. Showup’s liability is limited to direct damages not exceeding €X, indirect and consequential damages are excluded — confirm with legal counsel].
Changes to these terms
